Below we set out our privacy policy (the ”Policy”), which will outline how we process any Personal Information you provide us. References to "Personal Information" mean information that will allow us to identify you, directly or indirectly.
Please read this Policy carefully, as it contains important information on who we are and how we collect, store, use and share your information. By accessing the Platform or using our Platform Services or otherwise indicating your consent, you agree to, and where required, consent to the collection, use and transfer of your information as set out in this Policy. If you do not accept the terms of this Policy, you must not use the Platform and/or the Services. This Policy supplements other notices and policies and is not intended to override them.
This Policy: (i) applies only to the Platform and not to websites or applications of other companies or organisations; and (ii) specifically addresses our obligations pursuant to local law in Lebanon.
References to "users", "you", “yourself” or "your" is a reference to individuals using our Platforms or Platform Services.
Our Platforms are not intended for anyone under the age of 18 (referred to herein as “Children” or “Child”). We do not knowingly collect or process Personal Information relating to Children. If you become aware that your Child has provided us with Personal Information without your consent, please contact us at privacy@dubizzle.com and we will, upon verification, delete such Personal Information.
On our Platform, we define a Good as a physical item that Clients either want or possess. On the other hand, a Service is intangible, yet still valuable and sought after by Clients, together referred to as “Goods and Services“.
"Clients" means all buyers, sellers and individuals or entities advertising, promoting or engaging with our Platform or Platform Services, including estate agents, commercial agents, letting agents, individuals representing a private third party, individuals representing themselves and private companies advertising. Where Dubizzle acts as a buyer, seller or promotor we are a Client.

This includes images, videos, and virtual tours, YouTube URL, number, asking prices, sales history, different types of fees, phone numbers, property type, sale or rental, date added, and verification status (Dubizzle Verification as further described below), facilities, Client information or representing third party, property size, sold prices, addresses, floor plans, locations, and descriptions, Cars, motorcycles, accessories and parts, boats, number plates and other vehicles, chassis number, make and model, specs. Year, distance, insurance, usage, warranty, engine size, CV details for job applications, services (such as, freelance, home maintenance, other services and additional information; and The data is provided to us by Clients or other third parties on behalf of Clients.

The data we collect about you
Dubizzle collects Personal Information to operate our business and to provide you with the product and Platform Services that we offer. You provide some of this data to us directly. For example, when you visit our Platform and register with us as a user (either by creating an account with us or using another third party platform such as facebook, google, apple) to access the Services, you may be asked to provide information about yourself as outlined in this Policy.
This information is required to provide our Platform Services to you. If you do not provide such information, it may delay or prevent us from providing our Platform Services[RN1] .
This Policy will also apply when accessing the Platform and/or the Platform Services from mobile technology (such as mobile phones, tablets or other devices). Unless you have chosen to remain anonymous through your device and/or platform settings, this information may be collected and used by us automatically if you use the Services and access the Platform from mobile technology.
Calls between you and us, or between you and third parties made through us (such as Clients you contact about a Good or Service through a form or link on our Platform, or using contact information found on our Platform ), may be recorded or monitored for quality assurance and customer service purposes. We use third-party service providers to track phone calls and text messages between you and other third parties so that we and the third party can access certain details about the contact. As part of this process, we and our service providers will receive in real time and store data about your call or text message, including the date and time of the call or text message, your phone number, and the content of the text message.
We may collect Non-Personal Information from your Personal Information, but this information does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity. An example of Non-Personal Information is the percentage of users accessing a specific Service on our Platform, which we calculate from your usage data. However, if we combine aggregated data with your Personal Information to identify you, we will treat the combined data as Personal Information and use it in accordance with this Policy.

Clients or their representatives are responsible for any Personal Information they have and are subject to their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for any misuse of your Personal Information by Clients or another third party.
When you use our Platform Services on our or any other websites, they may have access to your Personal Information. Our Platforms also have links to other third-party websites. Clicking on these links may allow these parties to collect or share your information. Please note that we are not responsible for the content, security, privacy policies, or practices of any other third-party websites. We advise you to review the policy of each website you visit and make sure you are comfortable with their terms before sharing any Personal Information with them.
Disclosure of information
In the unlikely event that a liquidator, administrator or receiver is appointed over us or all or any part of our assets that insolvency practitioner may transfer your information to a third-party purchaser of the business provided that the purchaser undertakes to use your information for the same purposes as set out in this Policy.

We may forward or share information relating to you, which may include such information as well as personal information obtained through our sign-up form or otherwise, to certain Professional(s). Those Professionals or their affiliates, contractors, advertisers, agents or other designees may use such information and contact you regarding your needs or possible interests, as may we ourselves. “Professional(s)” means individuals, companies and other organisations or persons acting as real estate professionals or otherwise engaged in a business relevant to the Platform.
Third-party vendors, including Google and Facebook, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to the Platform. Google and Facebook’s use of cookies (in Google’s case, the DART cookie) enables them and their partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to the Platform and/or other sites on the internet. Users may opt out of (i) the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google website; and (ii) Facebook’s cookies by visiting Facebook’s advertising preferences page.
Security measures
We place great emphasis on safeguarding your information and have implemented effective technical and organisational measures to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure. However, it is essential to acknowledge that no security measure is entirely infallible. As a result, any transmission of your information is done at your own risk.
We store your Personal Information in a central database, outside Lebanon, that may be accessed by our affiliates in accordance with this Policy. Please remember to keep your password and details confidential to ensure your privacy.

We are not responsible for their policies or the security of your personal information. We suggest reviewing their policies before sharing any Personal Information with them.

If you ever want to stop receiving communications that we have sent you based on your preferences, you can unsubscribe or opt-out by contacting us directly or by clicking on the unsubscribe link, where available.
If we process your Personal Information under legitimate interests and you object to it, any processing that has already occurred will not be affected. However, in some cases, objecting to the processing of all your Personal Information may limit your ability to use certain services or platforms we offer.
Dubizzle Verification
We provide the Dubizzle Verification process to establish your identification and indicate your account reliability, trustworthiness and safety for other Clients on our Platform creating a safer environment for genuine buyers and sellers of Goods and Services.
All you need, is to submit (1) for individuals, a copy of your government-issued ID or passport, photo of your face (from the front and side profile) and your name, date of birth and gender and (2) for companies, a copy of your commercial registry extract and your commercial circular.
We keep this information secure to prevent any fraudulent or malicious actions such as identity theft, phishing scams, non-delivery and payment scams.
We will only give access to this Personal Information to authorized personnel within our company, as well as share and use this Personal Information for the purpose stated herein and within the terms of this policy. We do not otherwise share this information with third parties or use it for another purpose without your express written consent.
It is important to note that while Dubizzle Verification can enhance security, it is not fail proof. It is still essential to exercise caution and follow best practices when engaging in online transactions. Clients should remain vigilant, protect their Personal Information, consider Dubizzle warnings and directives, and report any suspicious activity to the Platform administrators.
It is also important that we are not responsible for the acts, Goods and Services of our Clients and Users, notwithstanding the Dubizzle Verification

If you have any enquiry or concern about our Policy or the way in which we are handling your Personal Information, or if you would like to update, complete or correct your Personal Information, please contact us at privacy@dubizzle.com. If at any time you wish us to cease processing and delete your information, please send a message to our admin department at privacy@dubizzle.com and insert "unsubscribe" as the subject heading.
Access to information
You may ask us whether we are storing personal information about you by emailing us at privacy@dubizzle.com and, if you wish and upon payment of a fee of USD 10, we will provide you with a copy of the personal data we hold about you by email. We may ask for proof of your identity before providing any information and reserve the right to refuse to provide information requested if identity is not established.
Your duty to inform us of changes
Keeping your Personal information accurate and up-to-date is crucial to us. Kindly inform us of any changes to your Personal Information during our relationship by updating your Personal Information on the Platform and/or by contacting us at privacy@dubizzle.com.
Payment Data
We employ a third-party provider for processing credit card payments. They have access to Personal Information needed to perform their functions but may not use it for other purposes. We do not have access to or retain any of your payment information.
Updates to Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Policy at any time. Any future changes will be available on our Platforms.
You may be required to read and accept any revised Policy to continue your use of our Platforms. The amended terms will be made available with new uploads or updates of the App and will be displayed in the Privacy Policy section of the App.
Please check back frequently to see any updates or changes to this Policy, as you will be deemed to accept such changes from your continued use of our Platforms.
To the extent that there is a conflict in the English wording of this Policy and any other translation of this Policy or a policy in any other language, this Policy in the English language shall take precedent.
